Why is the Hart pack PCB in the adapter?

Many Hart 20V tools check for the pack's electronics before they run. A 2-wire adapter only connects the two power pins. This adapter includes the original Hart pack board.

Hart 20V Battery Adapter (fits HyperTough 20V packs)

A Hart 20V battery adapter is how you keep the tools going now that new official packs are scarce. Most cheap adapters are two power contacts. That will spin a simple motor. A lot of Hart 20V tools check for the pack's board first and then refuse to start. We take that board out of an old Hart pack and put it in the adapter.

How you use it

One adapter for Hart 20V tools. Right now it fits HyperTough 20V packs. Charge those on a HyperTough charger. Keep the Hart tools you have and buy packs that are still on the shelf.

2-wire vs PCB

A 2-wire Hart adapter only connects the two power pins. Some lights and other simple tools run that way. A Hart 20V pack is cells plus a board that talks to the tool. Leave the board out and a lot of tools will not run. We keep the original board. Read the 2-wire vs PCB guide.
