# Hart Tool Battery Adapter | 2-wire vs PCB

If you own Hart 20V tools, you already know the problem. TTI discontinued Hart, and new packs are hard to find. The tools are fine. You need batteries that still exist.

A Hart 20V battery adapter lets you run those tools from a pack you can still buy. A two-pin adapter and this one are not the same device.

## What 2-wire adapters do

A lot of Hart adapters only connect the two power pins. That will spin a simple motor. Listings usually say 2-wire tools only. A Hart 20V pack is cells plus a communication board. Leave that board out and many tools will not start.

## What the PCB is for

We take the PCB out of an old Hart pack and build the adapter around it. Hart 20V tools that talk to the pack still see the electronics they expect.

## The pack you can still buy

This adapter fits HyperTough 20V packs. Charge them on a HyperTough charger. The adapter is not a charger. Don't throw old Hart packs away.

This is not an adapter that puts Hart packs onto other tool brands. KeepYourTools.com is not affiliated with Hart, TTI, Walmart, or HyperTough.
